Post Christmas Photos

Under Dezi's desk makes a great hidey hole to play and charge a DS.

Dez and I finished Chitty Chitty Bang Bang yesterday and celebrated by watching the movie. Even though the movie has been playing all day, the consensus was that the book was definitely better. There were way more gangsters in the book. Dez said about the movie, "Oh God! Not another song!" Then we made some of Monsieur Bon-Bon's secret fooj. It was a little runny, though I'm sure that was more to do with the chef than the recipe. Besides it makes a good segue for our next chapter book, Superfudge.

Hollywood took us on his boat yesterday.

It was Jaiden's first boat trip.

We went to the sand dunes at Straddie,

did some fishing,

helped the tide come in,

and climbed a mountain

all the way up to the sky.

There was a nice view.

Then we slid down the mountain.

And climbed back up.

The ocean is on the other side of the dunes.

Just like Christmas trees in the snow.

Hang on to brother!

The fallen trees at the next stop made me kind of nervous.

We went to visit Auntie Tiff at her new place on Mount Tamborine. She lives near the Botanical Gardens.

The Party in the Big Shed wasn't as flashy as it was last year, but it was still nice evening out. We won a $20 voucher to the Castaway Cafe.

There were two jumping castles, and

Santa in a police car.

Unlike his mad dash to the front last year, Jaiden waited so patiently for his turn that he was last in line.

No, Santa, please don't go.
